Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions stand for all classes and sessions conducted by Haus of Salem, including use of venues and equipment. 

Risks

Some of the activities undertaken at Haus of Salem can be dangerous. There is a level of risk involved with pole dancing and aerials training. You understand, acknowledge and agree that the activities undertaken at Haus of Salem can be dangerous and as such, have inherent risks, including risk of injury or death. You acknowledge that the activities undertaken are at your own risk and therefore it would be unreasonable for Haus of Salem to be responsible in any way for any kind injury or  death. You agree to use your best judgement and to abide by all safety instructions and recommendations whether oral or written. You assume these risks of your own free will being under no compulsion or duress. 

Health

Prior to starting any fitness course at Haus of Salem we advise all clients to consult with their physician in regards to any past or present, illness, injuries, pregnancy or other health related condition, that may affect your participation in the activities conducted at Haus of Salem. You acknowledge that you have discussed the appropriateness of the courses you are undertaking in conjunction with your illness/condition with your physician and that you knowledgingly release Haus of Salem from any liability or negligence. It is your legal responsibility to inform Haus of Salem of these conditions and inform us of any changes.

Safety

Some tricks/manoeuvres can be challenging or carry more risks than others. Clients must follow all directions from instructors and management at all times. Tricks or maneuvers should only ever been attempted following instructions provided by the Haus of Salem staff.

Pregnancy

A doctor’s certificate is required to participate once pregnant.     

Alcohol and drug consumption

You understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity and take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. You will not be permitted to participate in any activities at Haus of Salem if the instructor/manager believes you are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Haus of Salem will not be held responsible for any injury or death as a result of participant/non-participant being intoxicated prior to entry or during a class.

Conduct

A high level of personal conduct is expected by all clients attending Haus of Salem. You agree to follow the directions of the instructor and that any misconduct or refusal by yourself to follow any direction from the instructor or by breaking the rules of the studio can result in the cancellation of your lesson and your immediate removal from the studio. You understand that such non-compliance may result in injury.

Payments Policy

Courses:

Courses are designed for you to attend all classes for that term. A minimum number of students is required for the course to run. Payments must be made in full prior to the term starting. If you wish to attend on a casual basis this can be done if there is a pole free.

Casual Classes, Multiple Class Passes and merchandise:

100% payment is required upfront when purchasing casual classes, multiple class passes or any merchandise. Payments can be made through our payment gateway or with card.

Parties:

At time of booking a non-refundable deposit of $150 must be paid. Full payment is required prior to commencing the party.

Membership payments:

Weekly payments are made through Payrix. Please see the section on membership for more details and see the Fees page for further fee structure.

All deposits are non-refundable for all parties, classes, private bookings or equipment hire. Also make sure you're aware of the fees (below).

Refunds

There are no refunds or transfers of fees under any circumstances with the exception of

  • Medical illness or injury. A doctor’s certificate is required. A refund of the remaining course will be offered or can be used as a credit for the next 3 months.

  • Course cancelled by Haus of Salem. In the unfortunate circumstance when a course needs to be cancelled by Haus of Salem due to minimum class numbers not being received. Every effort will be made to reallocate you to another appropriate course. If this can’t be achieved then a refund will be provided.

  • Any cancellations of classes within 4 hours prior to class start time -student forfeits the class fee. Any cancellation outside of 4 hours prior to start time - class credit remains on student's account.

Courses and Classes/Cancelling out of a class

  • Casual classes: Booking online prior to class is essential. Classes limited based on equipment. Maximum of two students per pole. Payment required prior to undertaking the class.

  • Online bookings for a class close 30 minutes before class start time. 60 mins for online classes.

  • If a student cancels out of a class within 60 minutes of the class start time, or no-shows, they forfeit their booking and a $15 late cancellation fee will be applied to their account.

  • Self-cancellation of classes can be done within 30 minutes of class start time via the Gym Master app, or student booking account. 

  • Privates, small group training: Scheduled with instructor and client. Payment is required prior to undertaking the class.

  • Open practice time: Practice time is for personal practice and is supervised but not guided by the instructor.

Catch up classes (courses)

If you can’t attend a class in your block course, please let us know via phone/Facebook cancellation thread or email info@hausofsalem.au with a minimum of 4 hours prior to your class to arrange a makeup class. Since block course classes are limited and change each month, a make-up class may be an open class that has similar content.

Course Cancellations   

In the circumstance where you are unable to attend the rest of your course due to serious illness or injury, a medical certificate will be required. A credit will be given as per the refund clause.

If you can’t complete the course for a reason other than illness/injury, a refund will not be offered. Credit can be given to be used for store credit, to be used for future courses. 

Private Sessions & Packs Expiry Date

All sessions including private lessons are valid for 3 months as of your first booking. A one month extension may be granted at management’s discretion upon written request to info@hausofsalem.au prior to the expiry date. If you wish to extend the validity of your pack for a longer period of time, a medical certificate will be required to warrant the requested extension.

All sessions related to your online competition assessment pack must be allocated to the instructor of your choice, and can’t be used between multiple instructors.

Class Waitlist

In the event that you would like to attend a class that has been booked out, you may waitlist yourself. Should someone cancel out of the class (up to four hours prior to the session starting), you will be automatically added to the class and you will receive notice via email.

If you have waitlisted yourself and changed your mind about attending, you may also cancel yourself out of the waitlist prior to the class starting without any fees.

Should your waitlist be successful, you will need to cancel yourself out of the class at least two hours prior to the start of the session or you will be charged the session fee.

Workshops & Events

We do not provide refunds for any change of mind purchases. However, you're welcome to organise for someone else to take your place. Please send us an email at info@hausofsalem.au for any change in booking details.

Memberships and Fees

Your membership will be activated once your payment has cleared. Please note that public holidays may cause delays as banks do not operate during this time.

Membership payments are made weekly through Payrix direct debit system. If payments are declined at any time, membership benefits are suspended until payment is made. Failed payment fees will incur a charge of $4.40

Clients are responsible to provide correct account details & sufficient fund for their membership direct debit payment. If you have three or more failed membership payment in three consecutive months you will be liable for an administrative fee. 

Fees

  • Direct Debit from bank account and credit card (inc. GST)

    • Admin fee $2.20

    • Bank Account fee $0.99

    • Visa/Mastercard transaction fee 1.99%

  • Real-time payments with credit card

    • Visa/Mastercard 1.99%

    • Transaction Fee $0.30

Intellectual Property

All course content, choreography and routines, taught or performed in classes, parties, one on one sessions or performances remains copyright to Haus of Salem. You understand and agree that you must not use or exploit any intellectual property owned by Haus of Salem for personal financial gain in any manner, including but not limited to instructing or teaching pole dancing, without first obtaining the written permission from Haus of Salem proprietors.

If you feel dissatisfied with some aspect of the service provided by Haus of Salem, please speak to management. All feedback is appreciated as this helps to continually improve our service. Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.
